I have written so much lately. I am loving that some of the SGA fandom is out there and people are so nice and supportive.

(1) I heavily revised my first fanfiction: After the Injection. I wrote it back in 2006 and it needed some major fixing. I feel the results speak for themselves and I’ve had a decent response on the fic. The language is more active. It’s better edited. Some themes were updated to make more sense. Also, I learned a lot from my new beta. 

This fic takes place right after The Hive. It focuses on Rodney post-detoxing but still feeling like crap. Sheppard uses math to help Rodney understand some of the underlying issues. It always bugged me Rodney took so much in the episode that he was so high he couldn't actually help anyone. I wanted to explore possible fallout to that. I also needed to fix the things in this fic that really bugged me.

(2)  On one of the discord sites I'm on, we were discussing caring Ronon and angry Rodney. Apparently David Hewlett and Jason Momoa got in a shouting match at a convention and then didn't speak to each other again for years. It got us thinking about what Ronon would do if McKay started angry shouting at him not in the "oh man we're all about to die" way, but the "I'm seriously pissed off at you" way. We all decided Ronon would probably go straight into concern/caring mode and not actually take any bait.  So I wrote this mini fic in response: Outburst

I posted it today and for only 28 hits, it already has a decent amount of kudos and comments. I'm so excited to have people reading my sga fic still! 

This fic also holds a special place for me because it's the first one I've ever had someone write another fic inspired by it! And You're So Steady by puddlejumperpilot is an adorable and fun fic with Rodney and Ronon dating. Rodney is yelling and Ronon is just letting him get it all out of his system. Several of my ideas from the discord were used including the scene with Major Lorne calling Sheppard to intervene. It's such a good read and I've really been into the idea of Ronon/Rodney as a pairing.

(3) I went back and edited the old fic: Blood that Can't Be Cleansed. This fic dealt this McKay's POV after Miller's Crossing.  I did this so I could write a new fic that does John's POV after Miller's Crossing.

(4) Do Not Open is the fic I mention in (3) above. I had so much fun writing this one. John's not dwelling on convincing Wallace to feed himself to the Wraith. Instead, he's haunted by his feelings for Rodney and the thought of losing him to the Wraith instead. This also helped me answer a few questions I thought the episode glossed over such as why Rodney needed to use someone else's access card.

I tied (3) and (4) together into the series "Out Damned Spot"

(5) I usually have a rule against fics based on music, but there's a music fest challenge taking place and I had to join in. Please Can We Stop From Singing is essentially Stargate the Musical. We're supposed to use actual songs, so I have an alien have people sing out their feelings (McShep!) to actual songs. This one also got a fairly good reception given the size of the fandom. I had fun writing all the silliness.  

(6) I posted a link to this one already, but I did write a multiple pairing fic. This is a first for me and I had so much fun writing it. Embracing New Possibilities is a light-hearted fic. Jennifer suggests an open relationship so John and Rodney can try things out while she tries stuff out with Ronon. It's a fairly tame fic for the description. No actual sex or anything. It's just mostly Rodney freaking out as he realizes he does totally like John.

So there you go, I've been writing a lot. I also have two other stories in the works. One is a Todd fic because I really love the Todd and team dynamic. It's so fun to be back in fandom again.


Oh, and Jewels in the rubble by Mas_Pebbles_Sharp was written for me based on the fact I'm still struggling to recover from Covid. My request was for h/c with Ronon having long covid like illness. I figured Ronon would really hate the fact exercising too early makes it all worse so his team would have to help him settle. I'm so glad Mas_Pebbles_Sharp wrote this for me because it is just what I need to read right now.
