Sep. 26th, 2014 09:55 amI finished draft one of my second Disneyland story. I think I managed to avoid any unsettling corniness but the fic does verge on the point of ridiculous. It's okay. Sometimes ridiculous just adds to the humor. Did you know, by the way, that Disneyland has two police stations where they take shoplifters and other offenders? Bwahahahaha.
*clears throat*
Anyway, I need to go over the fic about twenty more times. I think I'll be posing without a beta because they are in too short of supply. That's what I get for not writing McShep.
I've managed to keep to my writing word count for the most part this week. I wrote a bit in the long fic of craziness, started another new fic, and finished this one. Not too bad for a working mom with no time on her hands. *gives self pat on back*
I have a few false starts on my post-Trinity fic. I really hate it when I know what I want to write but it just won't come out. I blame the characters. They want to be angsty and I keep telling them this is an angst-free story and Rodney keeps saying "but...but" and I keep saying "no".
