So I just watched the MLP episode "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" again and I had a few thoughts I wanted to share somewhere because this episode is just awesome no matter how many times I watch it:

(1) Is this a children's show doing an episode about self harm? I mean, doesn't this basically directly tell us that Luna has been purposely torturing herself for about 5 years as way of punishing herself? I'm not complaining. I'm just surprised. It's really a very creative way to discuss a sensitive topic.

I do like how Luna can't destroy the Tantabus herself but she needs everyone to help her learn to forgive herself. Given what this episode is about, it's just perfect. I love how it was feeding off of her guilt.

(2) Rainbow's nightmares are hilarious. I want to write a fic where she's stuck on the pony version of the It's A Small World ride.

(3) Why are Applejack and Pinkie Pie sharing a bed? I'm don't ship them but I bet shippers went crazy after this episode. (Okay, I don't ship Applejack and Pinkie Pie anyway. I admit that I do ship some Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash so I did get the warm fuzzies in an episode when they were on the cloud together singing during Hearths' Warming Eve is Here Once Again.)

(4) Bat Pony Flutter Shy! I'm not into the bat ponies part of fandom but that was fun to see.

(5) Big Mac as an alicorn!
