Trying to write with a kid looking over your shoulder

 My daughter read over my shoulder tonight while I wrote more in my odd fic. She insisted on reading all of the words aloud, in the character voices. I guess that's one way of seeing if I have the voices down?  As if this isn't distracting enough, she also keeps complaining about how I"m not writing fast enough. I deleted a sentence and replaced it.  Her response, "C'mon, that is so much worse!"  She also made me change my villain name....again.

Not exactly ideal working conditions.

Word count: 10,300.  I'm definitely slowing down but I think I just reached the climax.

It's absolutely maddening, lol! I'm surprised I managed any words at all.
