It's an odd ending. I suspect people may find it dissatisfying and too easy, which is I why I'd been trying to avoid this ending. But the more I think about what my story is about, it's the ending that fits and it's the ending the fic wants. 14,630 words in and maybe 1,000 more to write. The fun part is going to be tagging this story. Is it dark? I guess so, but the series can get fairly dark so where is the line? Is it comedy? Definitely at times and not others. Is it Drama? Maybe. Is it Adventure? For sure. No idea what will need warnings and what won't. I definitely refer to the season 7 finale throughout the fic as the idea is to offer a counter-thesis to the episode.

I admit, I haven't so much as watched anything from any fandom since working on this fic. It completely took all my free time. I'm looking forward to the break. I just hope some people like this fic.
