OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Basingstoke just announced Momoa!!!!!

Too bad his prices completely price me out of anything with him.  I’m guessing his autograph doesn’t even come with the Stargate VIP package.

Is it just me or is something up?  I mean I know it is the 20th anniversary but they now have like everyone from SGA at this con, including Caldwell, Weir, and Ford’s actors.  It feels like…they are gearing up for an announcement. I know before the writer's strike there was lots of talk about a big one coming?  And while RDA and Tapping and Walter’s actor are going, it seems this con is heavily SGA focused.  But I highly doubt anything new SGA would be happening.

I also thought Momoa refuses to do cons with Hewlett since the big argument they had at a con?  But Momoa did get Hewlett his role on See and they seem to have made up by now so maybe Momoa is more okay going to cons with him.

Wow! I didn't expect him to come, especially with Hewlett there! I hope this does mean they've made up and things are better between them. Though whether they'll be on stage at the same time... *shrugs*

But I'm glad I booked everything and bought tickets, I can imagine his movie fans descending on the convention now!

Momoa recommended him for the job on See and they made up after that. I just wasn’t sure Momoa would ever do a con with him again. Maybe JF convinced Momoa. Or, more likely, they are all being encouraged to come to build excitement for Stargate for an announcement to happen later in the year.

Not sure what the Stargate announcement could be, so trying not to get my hopes up, but I'm looking forward to meeting you there too! :D

Last year they were going to announce a new stargate project but then the writers strike happened.

I hope so! I’m getting worried it might be madness. But Leesa and Frith in Thorns are going as well as a ton of people from the sga discord group I am in. So it should be fun! I still want a fanfic con like Writercon. That was incredible.

I'm jealous now! Not of Basinstoke, because, and I'm being an ass here, but that city is...well, it's not...well, you know. I think of Basingstoke like I think of Worcester here in Massachusetts. But one hell of a line up! That's amazing!

And, damn, I really wish I could go! The idea that it might be building to a big announcement actually sounds likely.

Oh, well, I'm probably not the best to talk. I do actually like Worcester, Mass! It has its charms! And I'm sure Basingstoke will as well! Besides, you're not there to see the city, you're there to bask in the glory that is Stargate!
