sgatazmy: Jeannie and her daughter baking. (kids)
Okay, I'm starting to really regret starting these books.  I feel like there is a lot of quality descriptions and the world building is great but:

I'm reading for SGA not SG-1.  Way too much SG-1 in these books.

I think tie-in novels should leave everything back as it was by the end.  Not convinced these will.

The plot is really for one book and not more than 4.  I'm frustrated it keeps ending without a true conclusion.  Even if a plot thread is continued, each tie-in novel should be self-contained to a certain point.

Because it seems more like one book than 4+, I feel cheated with how much money I spent on all of this.

Too many original characters focused on that I don't really feel connected to.

Team is fractured for too long of a time.  I want more team love.

Other than that, I keep reading because:

Descriptions are better than what fanfiction remains that I haven't read.

I enjoy a lot of the story.  As long as I skim a lot it isn't so bad.

Rodney the Wraith has become quite humorous to me.  This is because Bestie and I have been joking about Rodney and Todd singing Dr. Horrible songs with Wraith Drones and Blades as backup singers.   This subplot became easier to handle once Rodney started becoming himself.  (We set Teyla as the Wraith Queen to Frozen's Let It Go.  Equally hilarious, I assure you.)

I enjoy Todd in this story a lot.  He is very in character and his motivations are realistic enough.
