That stomach bug was just the worst. I finally went to the docs and got some anti-nausea drugs which allowed me to recover. I made it to the gym today and walked slowly since my insurance requires me to go a certain number of times a month or they stop refunding my membership fees. I felt so weak. Since I always think in terms of fandoms, I found myself wondering how Ronon would feel if he had to work himself back up to par after an illness. It made me want fic about it. It's too bad I have too many fics on the back burner to start another...or do I?
Husband and I finished season two of Arrow. There are simply no words for how excited I am to delve into season three. This show has everything I could ask for: team love, adventure, whump, angst, humor, wit, actual character growth/change, and so much more. Is anyone out there watching this show as well?
We are also catching up on Justified. Justified is...uh...it's the show that's witty and sounds like it's written by Joss or someone with his same sense of style. It's also...uh...well...how can I say this? I always feel like I should go to confession or something after watching it because it is just so evil. So evil. And yet I love this show so much.
Bestie is back in town so we're going to watch more SGA tonight. I've had so much I've wanted to write on this show but I've just not had the energy. Maybe I will manage some writeups soon. I do so heart this show.
Mother-in-law is here as well and wants to watch Psych season finale with me. I ordered season 8 and it should arrive Friday. I'm excited to finally watch the last episode. I've only put it off for over a year now. There's just something about saying good bye to a show that keeps me finding excuses not to watch. I never want to say good bye!
On the reading front: I finished Assassins Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I wasn't sure if I'd like this book because I tend to shy away from things that are too dark or evil to kids (except apparently Justified), but I really enjoyed Hobb's characters and descriptions. It was a fun book and the ending was well worth my time. I think I may read future books in this series.
I'm currently reading Words of Radiance by my favorite author who I can't think of the name of right now. I've been reading this book for several months and yet I always remember what has happened when I pick it up again. It is a rare gem that can keep me invested enough to remember so many details. Maybe I'll even finish this book sometime in 2016.
