New Icons and Agent Carter 1x06

If you have me on Dreamwidth, you'll be seeing new icons. Sadly, LJ limits icons to only 6 and I'm not ready to go back to a paid membership yet. I'm very excited by the icons I've snagged so far from
next_to_normal on DW. Today I'm sporting my Peggy icon and I think tomorrow I'll sport my Felicity icon because Peggy (Agent Carter) and Felicity (Arrow) are by far my favorite female characters I've seen in a long time. So much love!
So I saw the latest Agent Carter...
LOVE LOVE LOVE They did ALL my favorite tropes and plots and just EVERYTHING is awesome. (Sorry for the caps but I'm on a high squee here.)
Anyone who knows me knows that I love the good guys getting arrested. It's about my favorite thing ever in all of fandoms. In SGA alone I've written about four stories where either Rodney, John, or Ronon get arrested (Christmas Past, Partners in Crime, The Creepiest Place on Earth, Above All Else). Why? I really don't know. I think it started back when I saw the Music Man on stage as a little kid and I remember when the main character got placed in handcuffs looking all dejected and stuff. Something in me just sparked that day and ever since I've been obsessed with this type of storyline.
So when it happened to Peggy? I just about died. It was EVERYTHING I could have hoped for. The way Jack puts the cuffs on her despite her being drugged and saying that it's necessary. He doesn't underestimate her any more. How awesome is that? Then he tells her when he attaches the cuffs to the table that she put three agents in the hospital...I just...I don't know my whole fandom self just goes squee crazy. (Especially after he'd finally invited her out for drinks with the team which had meant so much to her!)
My husband thinks it's hilarious how much I love the arrest trope.
Either way, this episode just hit every point I could have hoped for. Daniel (Dollhouse guy) is an awesome detective waiting until he has all the evidence and then takes Peggy down despite wanting to believe in her. I could have just died when she told him, "You won't shoot me." She just walks past him and he doesn't shoot her because I feel deep down he still believes in her or wants to believe her. I almost cried when he told her to give herself up to prove him wrong, but she doesn't.
The hypnotizing head shrink was very creepy.
sholio mentioned how through Dottie we can at least have an idea of everything Natasha went through even if this isn't during the same time.
The Chief keeps making me squee as well. He is all about his job (to a fault) but he had the sense to listen to Carter in the last few episodes. I nearly died when he told Jack and Daniel not to go easy on her just because she's a girl.
Oh and that is where they leave us! I need the next episode now! Daniel and Jack interrogating Peggy! I hope they don't just suddenly have some big out that avoids most of this fallout because I really want to see more before everything starts righting itself. I think I'm almost ready for my happy ending now, though. In a way, I'm glad it is a miniseries so that they can't drag it all along forever.

Dottie continues to top my creepy list. (One complaint: Why does Peggy just walk out into the hall knowing all the SSR agents are around. So confused?)
