new fic workings

sgatazmy Well my current fic has gone all to all kinds of intense places. 11,000 words in and I’m really ready to be done but figure at least another 5000 words are needed. It started as a humor fic with Rodney mysteriously calling Lorne to a lab and telling him “Whatever you do, don’t let me leave and don’t let Sheppard anywhere near here.” It was funny at first but it turned dark so fast with Lorne taking the role of a strong anchor to help Rodney through some major traumatic happenings.
Then the fic kept going with Sheppard pissed, worried, and out of the loop, Rodney hurting, and Lorne caught in a difficult position of having to report “concerns” about Rodney to the new shrink.
I am on chapter 3 now and the madness keeps going. My pairings list in definitely the largest I have ever written though it’s mostly a McShep fic. I’m really excited by the fic, but so drained. It won’t let me sleep or do much else until I finish this.
It has definitely been fun writing Lorne’s POV though. Especially Lorne dealing with a frustrated and angry Sheppard.
