SGA Podfic Roundup

sgatazmyI am really enjoying making podfics and listening to podfics. It's really opened a whole new world to me. I started posting my podfics under a new name: TazmyReads, to separate them from my actual fics.
I know several friends who need podfics in order to make fanfic accessible so I figured I'd make a roundup post of what I've created and what people have created from my own works. Then I'm going to link this in my sticky for quick reference.
All my podfics are now on jinjurly as well.

Butter Never Bleeds (T) read bycassiope25 , gen (no relationship), 2024 podfic of my 2006 story, 3.5 minutes. Rodney centered. Tag to the Storm/Eye about recovering from torture.This one is so well read and a quick listen!
Elizabeth's Pet Demon (G) read by Malihinimoon, gen (no relationship but you can read pre-Elizabeth/Ronon if you want), 19 minutes. Complete crack that should not at all be taken seriously. There is a small demon ransacing Elizabeth's quarters and it burps out Stargates. This reading takes the fic to a whole new level of laughs!

I Sometimes Wonder (T) by Tipper (tippergreen ), 25 minutes, McShep feelings realization, soooooo good! I especially loved reading John's blush when he realizes...just....so fun! I'm so excited having Tipper back and writing NEW stories for us in 2024!

Stupid Stuff (G) bynottasha , ~38 minutes, gen, Ronon and Rodney racing to the gate. At first it seems a bit mean to McKay but as the story continues, it's really not. I love Ronon especially in this and how he comes to understand McKay. NotTasha hits on so many of my favorite tropes.
Dumb Books (G) bynottasha , ~1 hour, Rodney with pneumonia in a blizzard. Amazing friendship interaction with the boys. Just sooooo good! (and I'm so excited NotTasha is back to writing in 2024!!! She just posted a new story yesterday!)

A Good Enough Timeline (T), Established McShep, ~1 hour, hopeful future, but Rodney's struggling. Rodney wants to change time again and John needs to stop him. I'm told this is a story that belongs in a philosophy course, lol, and that I broke a lot of hearts by taking John's side here. Nothing like that moment when Rodney realizes he is the bad guy...Maybe not a popular work of mine, but I loved writing this and reading it, and I'm happy to share it with anyone else who wants to ask, "What makes a timeline good enough?" Plus, uh, John interrogating Rodney in a desperate move to save Rodney from himself! I loved writing and reading that.
Always Fine (G), gen, 6.5 minutes, Shrine missing scene, Why did Rodney go on the mission if he was feeling sick earlier? Character study about neurodivergence.
More Cuddles, Less War Crimes (T), McShep admitting feelings, 14.5 min, completely crazy, humor story where Rodney has been up for a week only to come to the conclusion they should all take more naps in order to avoid committing war crimes.
Of Steel and Blood (T), Gen (friendship), 12 min, Post The Storm/The Eye, John notices Rodney is struggling after Kolya's men tortured him. I feel this story is one of my absolute best and I loved reading it.
Stop Talking! (T), beginnings of Rodney/Jennifer/John, 2.75 hours, go to chapter 6 for podfic, this is my Rodney is suicidal and doesn't admit this to himself so he's just pushing himself forward to a breaking point. Using the truth-serum trope, Rodney is forced to share this information with Lorne who reports it to their new psych. John's pissed because obviously Rodney isn't suicidal and why the hell would Lorne report that he was? Plus, Rodney, afraid his feelings for John will come out, is avoiding John while keeping Lorne in the loop. Meanwhile Rodney is trying to figure out just how broken he is and whether or not he can admit just how close he's come a few times to ending everything. This fic took my soul and made me write and write and write and nearly broke me writing it. It has feelings realization, humor, angst, emotional whump, and a deep journey into how someone can't live through this much death and destruction and just be expected to be okay.
Festering Wounds, Hurting Souls, Loving Hearts (T), McShep feelings acknowledgement, this is a story about Rodney's neurodivergence and how he knows his friends care but they do say and do hurtful things without realizing it. So how does one go about saying 'You're my best friend and I really care about you, but I also kinda hate the way you treat me?' This story deals with the lemon jokes, 'off his game' jokes, and the way they often make fun of his neurodivergent tendencies. A lot of fun to write and what is left of fandom out there seems to have really enjoyed it as well.
Do Not Open (T) . 11.5 minutes, McShep but possibly unrequited? No actual relationship but a character study of his love for Rodney and his take on what happened in Miller's Crossing.
Empty Stars (T) Gen, 9 minutes, 2024 podfic of older story. Post The Storm/The Eye, John's view of watching Rodney recover and John reflecting on his own past and darkness. (older story, 2024 podfic)
Operation: Retrieve John's Heart (G), McShep pre-slash, 3.5 minutes, A quick run fairy tale where John sells his heart for a bag of beans so that he doesn't have to feel/love any more.
Uncle Rodney's Day with Torren (G), very light in background established McShep, Teyla and Rodney friendship, ~21 minutes, when Teyla snaps at Rodney, he realizes she's in need of a break and offers to care for 5-year-old Torren. That goes about as well as you might expect.
Rodney's Tactical List for Surviving Three Year Olds (G), Gen, 10 minutes, could easily be read as McShep established if someone wants but easily read as just friendship too. John and Rodney are caring for Torren while Teyla is away. It isn't going well.
